#DeepVeer: Just Two Official Pictures From The Wedding And We’ve Already Lost Our Calm!
So what if Ram could not get Leela? So what is Bajirao could not get Mastani? So what if Aladdin Khalji could not get Padmavati? Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone have got each other forever! Of course real-life is better than reel-life! Even though the couple got married outside India, they made sure that the wedding was completely desi. Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh tied the knot in a Konkani style wedding ceremony on the 14th of November at Lake Como in Italy. This was followed by another wedding ceremony in Sindhi traditions on the 15th of November – Ranveer’s roots. While the internet was flooded with sneak-peaks from the wedding, the couple were all set to post their official wedding pictures post 6pm on the 15th of November after completing all the wedding rituals. The wait finally ended when Deepika and Ranveer took to their Instagram handles to post two official pictures from the wedding!
After the official release of these two official pictures, everyone lost their calm and we aren’t surprised! The two looked so happy and so much in love that we could not help but keep re-looking at their wonderful pictures. That apart, the couple looked like an absolute dream! Any adjective that we use would be an understatement to describe how Deepika and Ranveer looked as bride and groom. Deepika and Ranveer, both wore Sabyasachi creations. Deepika looked a total stunner, traditional Konkani bride in a Kanjiwaram saree in the shades of red and gold. The traditional jewellery complimented every bit of her bridal attire. Ranveer perfectly complimented her and went all desi with a white kurta and dhoti with a heavy golden border. For the Sindhi rituals, the bride switched to a traditional lehenga-choli with intricate work. Her dupatta requires a special mention – it had ‘Sada Saubhagyavati Bhava’ written all along the border. She wore the traditional chuda and kaleeera, along with a huge maangteeka and nathani. Ranveer wore a red sherwani with golden butti and a striped pagadi. He layered his attire with a red maala and kundan hair. We can’t wait to see more pictures from the #DeepVeer wedding!
